Read the whole prompt
Krillion uses open prompts rather than a multiple-choice list. Pay attention to every qualifier: the category, time period, location, or other detail can define what counts.
Enter one answer
Each prompt gives you 25 seconds to submit one response. Choose an answer you can connect clearly to the prompt, then enter it before the timer ends.
Check the result
The game checks whether your response qualifies. An accepted answer earns a rarity tier and its points; a response that does not fit the prompt cannot earn a rarity score.
A daily dive gives players the same set of prompts. Unlimited / Endless Dive is for continuing to play beyond that shared daily round. The game presents seven prompts in a dive, with one timed answer for each.
Points become depth
Krillion scoring and rarity tiers
Getting the prompt right comes first; rarity determines the value of an accepted answer. Each tier has a fixed point value, and every point adds ten metres to your dive. The less expected the accepted answer, the higher its tier can be.
| Rarity tier | Points | Dive depth |
|---|---|---|
| PlanktonA familiar answer that clearly fits. | 4 | 40 m |
| Too CleverA less expected answer with a narrow fit. | 8 | 80 m |
| SchoolerA solid answer that takes some recall. | 16 | 160 m |
| RareA specific answer fewer players may name. | 32 | 320 m |
| Deep CutA specialist answer that still fits the prompt. | 64 | 640 m |
| One in a KrillionThe top tier for an exceptionally uncommon answer. | 100 | 1,000 m |
Seven top-tier answers add up to 700 points, or 7,000 metres.

How to aim for a deeper dive
Notice the qualifiers. A prompt’s small details define the answer set. Keep your response within its stated category, place, or time period.
Look past your first thought. The most familiar answer may be easy to recall. Think of a more specific example that still has a clear connection.
Choose accuracy over obscurity. An unusual answer only helps when it truly fits. Do not trade a defensible response for a random guess.
Learn from the reveal. Use the tier and result to understand how the game treats that prompt. The accepted set can include answers beyond a short guide’s examples.
